Moon Blue

The 'Moon Blue' colorway is Gem State Yarns' tenth release for 2023 as a part of a Colorway a Day event in January.

This colorway is named from my childhood. When I was a kid I had this pair of pants that I loved the color of. I was maybe 7 and I called that color 'Moon Blue'. It was my favorite color for years! However, no one knew what I was talking about when I said "moon blue". Now I feel obliged to give the world a 'Moon Blue' yarn because I still think it is a lovely color. Now I might consider it closer to a peacock blue but I refuse to conform! lol

Anyway, this yarn is tonal meaning there will be some lighter and darker areas. However, if you'd like more or less color variation please let me know at checkout.

As always, shipping is free and I can cake the hank for you if requested, no charge. I dye everything to order and dye at least every other day. This means it may take up to 48 hours for your order to head your way.

I also like to remind buyers that variety is common in hand-dyed yarn. Colors can also appear slightly different in person than on a screen. Since color matching is so important in knitting and crochet I understand how crucial it is to get the right color for your project. If you receive something that's not quite right, I am happy to work with you. Please just reach out and we'll figure out how to fix it.

Since I dye everything to order, I offer every colorway on every base yarn and with the option to do a full 100g skein or a half 50g skein.

Our 4-ply DK yarn is made of 100% superwash merino wool. Size 3 DK weight yarn.

Ultra soft, 4-ply, fully wool yarn. Size 4 worsted weight yarn.

~~ Bulky 100% Fine Superwash Merino Wool ~~
Our bulky yarn is extra squishy and soft with a bit of texture. Although the twist looks a little loose, the fiber do not split when knitting, crocheting, or weaving.
